Berlin Art Residency: Mirela Fioresy at GlogauAir Online Program
Brazilian contemporary artist Mirela Fioresy begins a new research phase as part of the GlogauAir Berlin Online Residency Program. Mirela Fioresy has been selected for the GlogauAir Berlin Online Residency Program, taking place from October to December 2025.
During this residency, she joins artists from eight different countries, engaging in a collective exchange of artistic research and experimentation. The program provides a space for dialogue and development, allowing Mirela Fioresy to expand her practice while connecting with an international network of contemporary artists.
At the end of the program, GlogauAir will host an Open Studio online exhibition, where each artist will present the outcomes of their residency process. Mirela Fioresy’s work will be shared publicly as part of this presentation.
NOVA SÉRIE
Água e óleo não se misturam
Water and Oil Don’t Mix é tanto o título quanto o princípio norteador deste projeto. Mirela Fioresy extrai uma lição fundamental da pintura, de que óleo e acrílico nunca se misturam, e a transforma em um método para a descoberta. Ao sobrepor esses materiais em uma única superfície, ela permite que a resistência deles oriente o resultado, observando os pigmentos se empurrarem, se repelirem e se acomodarem em formas orgânicas surpreendentes. Esse encontro torna-se processo e metáfora, capturando momentos de tensão, separação e coexistência instável.
Fallen
Fallen se origina da experiência de crescer em uma casa cercada por palmeiras, onde o som de frondes caindo era frequente, mas o momento de sua descida nunca era visto.
A obra explora esse intervalo invisível entre o céu e a terra, imaginando formas transitórias que existem apenas na queda e se dissolvem ao aterrissar. Ela evoca um estado de deslumbramento, quando o invisível podia ser preenchido com curiosidade em vez de medo.
